Company History Marwest Utility Services Ltd. was established in 1966 with the desire to provide quality natural gas contracting services. Marwest Utility Services Ltd. has met that goal and today is the primary mains and service contractor to Terasen Gas in BC’s Interior. With over 40 years of natural gas contracting experience, Marwest Utility Services Ltd. has successfully provided and executed a variety of natural gas related services for its clients; primarily throughout BC.  Beginning by installing natural gas mains and services in the late 60’s, Marwest continued to provide services for Inland Natural Gas, BC Gas and Terasen Gas.  Other clients have included: The City of Medicine Hat, Pacific Northern Gas, Pacific Coast Energy, Westcoast Energy Inc., Weyerhaeuser and BC Tel (fibre optics installation). Projects over the years include: production welding, pipe coating and pipeline crew supply for the Vancouver Island Pipeline crossing; transmission line installation for the Mackenzie Lateral, from Princeton to Kingsgate (mainline installations), Summerland to Peachland, and Salmo to Rossland (including the Columbia River Crossing); Bridge Crossing work at Nelson, Ashcroft, Kamloops and Creston;  Pipeline upgrades and relocations for Westcoast Energy and Trans Mountain Pipelines; Line replacements for Terasen Gas and Pacific Northern Gas, and snow shed installations for Terasen Gas in the Kootenay region of BC. Marwest Utility Services Ltd. has also provided the following services throughout BC: Pressure Station Fabrication and Installation Meter Protection Installation Bridge Crossing Maintenance and Inspection Directional Drilling and Boring Installations Steel Pipe System Improvements Propane Mains and Service Installations (PE and Steel) City Gate Fabrication and Installation In February 2007, Marwest expanded its strengths and services by joining the Darlen group of companies which include: Darlen Transport (1986) Ltd., Sikanni Chief Logistics Inc., Cloud Transport Services Inc. and Muskwa Construction and Environmental Ltd. Marwest uses its extensive history and experience, in conjunction with its affiliates, to continue to offer high quality, valued contracting services throughout BC, Alberta and Northwest Canada. Marwest is a 100% Aboriginally owned company.
